A journey through time

The route begins in the charming town of Huélamo. From here, you descend along an old bridle path towards the plain of the Júcar River. You cross the river and the CM-2105 highway and continue through the Cañada de Los Vallejuelos, ascending through old agricultural works.

The Charm of the Dehesa

The path will take you to the old Masegar boyal pasture, where the locals used to graze their animals. This place used to house more than 400 draft animals, but females dedicated to reproduction were not allowed to stay.

A Path of Options

In the Masegar pasture, the path divides into two branches. The first, shorter one, takes you to the old weaving factory and crosses the Masegar stream before reaching the Rento area.

Immerse yourself in Nature

He main and longest branch immerses you in the valley of the Chorreras stream. Here, an ancient path runs through a lush forest of Scots and black pines, with mixes of sub-Mediterranean and Euro-Siberian species. As you advance, you will find old lime kilns that recall traditional trades that are no longer in use.

A trip to the past

Further ahead, you will reach the Encebras hill and pass through the Cueva del Covo, an old sheepfold and livestock shelter. These vestiges shed light on the ancient ways of life in the region and the adaptation of the inhabitants to their natural environment.

The Return to Hélamo

The final part of the route is simple and offers views of the Huélamo hamlet. The trail fades into a track that will take you back to the starting point.
