Here grows white water lily (Nymphaea alba), an aquatic plant that roots in shallow waters and, during flowering, its beautiful white flowers float on the surface, making this lagoon the only place in the province where it is found. In the shallow areas of the banks, a dense reed bed serves as a refuge for birds and fish.
