Discovering La Tobilla: The Other Birth of the Cuervo River
Nestled in the peaceful town of Vega del Codorno, a place unknown to many but worth exploring, hides a corner that has been named the «another source of the Cuervo River.»
The access to La Tobilla guides us through the beautiful valley of the Cuervo River, we find it once we leave the Eustaquios neighborhood in direction Santa Maria del Val, where we immediately see a wooden post on the right that clearly indicates the direction towards La Tobilla.
From this point, the route takes us along a dirt road known as "Las Vaquerizas," for about two kilometers until reaching this other source of the Cuervo River. Although technically It is a tributary of the Cuervo, the Tobilla stream has its own charm and uniqueness.
A beautiful corner, but seasonal
The place is impressive and beautiful. However, unfortunately, at certain times, due to drought, the waters flow less than expected. However, those who visit it in spring, when the flow is more generous, will have the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular aquatic show.
The jewel in the crown is undoubtedly this beautiful waterfall at the end of a very easy access trail that runs along the river. Although the waterfall appears more modest in September due to the season, its lush, green surroundings, at any time of year, radiate a feeling of peace and unparalleled beauty. La Tobilla is a corner that invites you to explore, where nature displays its splendor in a peaceful and tranquil environment.
