The Path Linden Fountain – Armentero Cave invites you to explore a magical forest and discover historical and natural treasures. Along 2.3 kilometres (one way), you will enter a fairy-tale environment, following the course of the Guadiela River and admiring the rich biodiversity of the Hoz de Beteta.

A journey through time

The trail takes you to the Whore's Cave, inhabited from the Neolithic until just 400 years ago. Its archaeological value will surprise you, transporting you through time.

A Viewpoint with Spectacular Views

You will reach the Armentero Cave, where a steep gradient is compensated by the reward of panoramic views from the Mirador de Beteta. There, one of the most beautiful anticlines in the Iberian system unfolds before your eyes.

A Walk Between Forests and Rocks

The path envelops you in a forest of hazelnuts, elms, maples, yews, hollies and lime treesThe trail runs along the Hoz del Río Guadiela, a deep gorge carved by water over millions of years. The limestone walls of the canyon are covered with vegetation, creating an impressive landscape.

Recommendations:

• Parking: Parking at the initial recreation area is limited. It is recommended to go up to the Little House on the Prairie Recreation Area, with greater availability, and go down the botanical trail to the Linden Fountain.
• Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes to walk the trail.
• Water: Carry water with you, especially in summer.
• Sun protection: Protect yourself from the sun with a hat and sunscreen.
• Respect for the environment: Do not leave waste on the trail.
