A walk through the natural beauty of Valsalobre
The Serrezuela de Valsalobre Interpretive Trail invites you to explore this fascinating karst region, where you can delve into nature and observe various geological manifestations, such as chasms and structures known as "tormagals."
A well-marked route
This trail has an approximate length of 4.5 kilometers and can be covered in approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. It is properly marked with beacons and directional signs that will guide you on your journey. Additionally, along the route, you will find interpretive panels that will provide you with valuable information about the points of interest that you will find on your way.
Discover the chasms of Valsalobre
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to admire the entrance to several chasms, some of which are very well-known and significant. Among the most notable are the "Juanas," such as the Sima Juan Herranz I and II, which are especially important due to their depth, reaching 200 and 120 meters. These chasms are home to a jewel of our region, the Graellsia Isabellae moth. In addition, there are four other chasms in the area that will also amaze you:
- Sima Alfa I (85 meters deep).
- Sima Alfa II (60 meters deep).
- Sima Z3 (96 meters deep).
- Sima Z6 (96 meters deep).

In fact, this Natural Monument is home to the highest density of chasms in all of Europe, making it a unique and exceptional place.
How to get to this natural paradise
To get to this natural jewel from Beteta, simply follow the CUV-9011 highway, through the picturesque town of Valsalobre, heading north. Continue along a forest track for about 5 kilometers until you reach the protected natural area.
