Beginning of the Adventure

Your journey begins just outside the picturesque town of El Tobar, heading east. Here, you will come across a fork, and you must take the path to the left, a wide track devoid of vegetation. To your right, you can admire the gate through which the waters of the Lagoon flow into the Masegar Stream.

The Shore of the Lagoon

Continue along the main path until you reach the most accessible edge of the Lagoon, where the track comes to an end. In this area, the thick reed dominates the shore, preventing you from getting directly close to the water. However, you will be surrounded by the beauty of nature.

A Scenic Ascent

Then, take a path that opens to your left and ascends abruptly in search of a path that surrounds the lagoon at a certain height above the water. As you walk, you will find yourself surrounded by holm oaks and bushes typical of this sunny region. You will pass by the Tío Raboseco's Covacho, an old shelter that in the past housed the area's livestock.

A Glance at the Lagoon

A Change of Scenery

The landscape will change as you move towards the shaded area of the Lagoon. Here, the forest becomes denser and the lichens and mosses typical of humid areas cover the rocks and trees. This transition of landscapes will give you a diverse and enriching experience.

Back to Town

Eventually, you will exit the forest and enter a more open area. Eventually, you will reach a track that will take you away from the Laguna, passing through the Prado Saz. As you cross the Masegar Stream, you will be close to the town center of El Tobar, where you can continue following the main route, crossing osier fields and further exploring the beauty of the region.
