The route begins in Arcos of the Sierra, from where you travel a little more than 1 km along the Portilla road. Afterwards, you leave the road to take a track that heads to the left. One of the first milestones on the route is ford the Trabaque River, which marks the beginning of an exciting adventure.

One of the Highlights of this route are Boca de la Hoz, where a water catchment is located. If the level of the stream allows it, you can enter the Sickle Strait until you reach a picnic area set up inside. This is a perfect place to take a break and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
The Ascent to the El Picayo Bypass
The main route continues ascending steadily through stony terrain, surrounding the Albogones ravine. Along the way, you will pass by the Tormagales del Collado Pajar and finally you will reach the El Picayo Derivation. This point is a watchtower with steep edges and spectacular views. In addition, it is a symbol of the population and offers a unique perspective of the region.

Exploring the Descent
The main path goes back through Los Navares and descends in search of Cañada Morena and its source. The route continues its descent as the road becomes a path, and you will reach the river, which you will have to cross to continue along the path towards the source of El Sapo and the Era del Collado.
The Shelters of Las Covatillas
The path then connects with a track that gently ascends to the Las Covatillas Derivation. Here you will find ancient livestock shelters located under peculiar rock formations. This is a place where history and geology mix in a unique landscape.
The Return to Arcos
The main route continues descending sharply and steadily until it reaches the road before returning to the town of Arcos de la Sierra. Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to enjoy unparalleled natural diversity, with flora and fauna that will accompany you on your adventure.
