Fresneda, our starting point, will welcome you with the majesty of the ancient church of San Miguel, in the process of consolidation and restoration.

A Journey Through History

This trail mostly follows the old cart and bridle paths, such as La Frontera or Fuertescusa, which once served as main communication routes between these peoples in past times.

Nature and Culture in Harmony

PR-CU 27 is a treat for lovers of nature and rural culture. As you ascend, you will find a variety of landscapes and plant species. Enjoy magnificent oaks and gall oaks, with touches of boxwood vegetation at higher altitudes.

Charming Corners

Along your journey, you will discover picturesque places, lush pine forests and calares that open onto different valleys. You will also encounter a community that still preserves its ancestral traditions and customs.

The Beginning of the Adventure

The trail begins in Fresneda, where a splendid washing place still in use (996 metres) bears witness to a past that still comes to life. This place is a reminder of the practices and customs that have marked the recent history of Fresneda.

The Road to Dehesa Boyal

Following the old path of La Frontera, now transformed into a track in excellent condition, you will head towards Dehesa Boyal, reaching La Nava, a corner of the Dehesa that stands out for its high ecological value. Here, the impressive oaks and gall oaks, some centuries old, will amaze you. Don't forget to visit the hostel and the Fountain of the same name to marvel at the natural beauty that surrounds them.
