When you enter the Valdemeca Interpretation Centre, you are immersed in a world of knowledge. Interactive panels detail the geological history of the region, the types of forests or soils that we find in the Sierra de Valdemeca.
However, the real protagonist of this space is the fascinating kingdom of mushroomsValdemeca, known as a paradise for mycologists, does not disappoint mushroom lovers.

We now move to Tragacete, where an imposing building awaits us that seems to want to touch the sky with its folded roof, imitating the geographical features of the Serranía. This centre is a true multi-sensory journey through the history and nature of the region.
Inside you will find a open space where you can see representations of the different ecosystems present in La Serrania, photographic exhibitions and a tourist information point.
But above all, this place perfectly reflects how water and wind have sculpted these mountains over millions of years.

NAIL: WATER AS THE PROTAGONIST
Our journey continues in A, where awaits us interpretation center that seems to float above the ground. Its modern design, with large windows, invites us to merge with the surrounding landscape, dominated by the beautiful Uña Lagoon.
Here, Water is the main protagonist. Through a successful exhibition, we can see how water has shaped the landscape, creating the lagoon and karst systems that characterize the area. The dioramas bring us closer to the rich biodiversity that lives in and around the lagoon, from migratory birds to the fish that swim in its crystal-clear waters.

ROMAN SITE OF NOHEDA
Discovered almost by chance, this site houses one of the largest and best preserved Roman mosaics in Europe. Its more than 230 square meters of tiles tell us stories of gods, heroes and everyday scenes from ancient Rome with a detail and vividness that leaves us breathless.

The Serranía de Cuenca is not only nature. Its small museums are authentic treasures that preserve the memory and traditions of these lands. Each one of them tells us a different story, but all of them weave the rich cultural tapestry of the Serranía.
